About Me

Hello, My name is Sara, and I’m a fiction writer and avid reader. My love for stories—whether I’m reading them or writing them—led me to create this blog, and I’m excited to share a little about myself with you.

I began writing fan fiction in 2004, which allowed me to explore different worlds and characters. In 2008, I shifted to writing fantasy romance fiction, but my love for stories goes back even further, especially within the fantasy genre. When I first started writing, I struggled with grammar and the technical aspects of writing—like most beginners, I had a lot to learn. Despite those early challenges, I continued to write because storytelling was something I couldn’t resist. However, I never seriously considered publishing my work until recent years. While I still haven’t published anything yet, the process has been slow due to my health and mental health challenges. I also tend to write as a pantser, meaning I write when inspiration strikes rather than following a detailed outline. I’ve experimented with outlining, but it just doesn’t seem to fit my creative process.

Having experienced depression and years of trauma, I deeply understand the emotional hurdles that can make it hard to keep writing or even enjoy doing what you love. Life has thrown its challenges at me, and my career path has had to evolve as a result. For a while, I planned to pursued freelance editing, but due to my health, I had to make a shift to find other ways to support writers who face similar struggles.

This is why I started this blog: to create a space where writers can find inspiration and resources to help them overcome the obstacles they face. I’ll be graduating from Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) this fall with a Bachelor’s degree in Creative Writing and English with a concentration in Fiction. I’m also planning to continue my education and pursue a Master’s degree in English and Creative Writing with a concentration in Fiction.

Through this blog, I want to offer writing prompts, workbooks, journals, workshops, and other tools to support writers on their own journeys. I’ll be drawing from my personal experiences to help aspiring authors push past their struggles and bring their stories to life. Writing is a journey full of ups and downs, and I’m here to support you through every step of the process.
